Proclaimed by the LA Times as the "Trailer Titan" and placed on Entertainment Weekly's Top Creative People in Hollywood "It" List, Bob Israel has had a legendary career in entertainment. His achievements include producing blockbuster comedies that launched major careers, overseeing prestigious star-studded award shows, creating the largest entertainment advertising agency in Hollywood, and, now, developing and producing theater with some of the biggest names on Broadway.Bob was born into the business: his father and mother were actors who met performing in a Broadway musical. In 2012, Bob (along with Jed Bernstein and Rich Battista) created the Broadway & Vine Fund, for the purpose of optioning movie properties and developing them for the stage.As of May 2015, he is developing several projects for the stage - on his own, as well as through Broadway & Vine. Projects in development include Mad Hot Ballroom, with Fox Theatrical and a multi-Tony winning creative team - Rick Elice (Jersey Boys), Jeanine Tesori (Fun Home) and Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots); also, The Flamingo Kid, with Tony-winner Robert Freedman (Gentlemen's Guide) and Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens). Additionally, he is collaborating with producer Matt Weaver (Rock Of Ages) and creator Randy Weiner (Sleep No More) on a theater-nightclub experience.Bob is the Co-Founder and original CEO and Co-Creative Director of Aspect Ratio. When he and his partner, Ron Moler, sold the company, Aspect had grown into the largest entertainment advertising agency in Hollywood, a family of companies that created campaigns for every major studio.Bob's feature film producing credits include the box office smash Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, which helped launch Jim Carrey's film career, and the cult classic, Bachelor Party, based on Bob's original story, starring Tom Hanks.Live shows include a run from 2000 - 2008 as Executive Producer of The Hollywood Reporter's Key Art Awards and, in addition to producing many short film parodies, Bob produced a live musical parody for Sony Pictures starring Robert Goulet, Leslie Nielsen and Ben Stein.Additionally, he is currently a Managing Member of AngelVision Investors, a group that invests in entertainment, marketing and new media entities.Bob's commitment to social justice, equality and the arts has been the focus of his non-profit work: as a longstanding board member at A Place Called Home, including four as Chairman, as the Executive Vice President of the Board of Trustees at University Synagogue, and as a board director at the Skylight Theater Company.Bob is a member of the motion picture Academy (AMPAS) as well as the Directors Guild of America. He has won several CLIO and Key Art Awards as well as film festival honors. He was selected for Entertainment Weekly's "It" List as one of the Top 100 Creative People in Hollywood.He is extremely grateful to have two incredible children, Jesse and Rachel, and his supportive life-partner and wife, Gail.
